Iron Man 2 Movie Posters Go Mobile
Designer QR Codes promote blockbuster film.
by Beth Silverstein

Designer 2D Barcode for Iron Man 2 April 14, 2010 - Los Angeles, CA -- Santa Monica based creative agency Warbasse Design creates designer QR Codes and mobile strategy for Iron Man 2. Warbasse Design is behind the "digital one sheets" that tie smartphones to interactive mobile content. Now movie posters offer more than slick graphics and the movie's opening date. Moviegoers can scan the code on the Iron Man 2 posters to learn more about the upcoming film, view movie stills, the theatrical trailer, and buy tickets on their mobile device. "This is another step for us in our journey to help create a social tipping point for 2D barcode marketing and advertising," said Philip Warbasse - Warbasse Design.

Warbasse Design works with major studios as well as independent film makers to bring their features to a mobile audience. Warbasse Design routinely uses 2D Barcodes in the form of Quick Response (QR) Codes as access points to mobile content. The future for these codes is bright and the entertainment industry understands the importance of getting in on the ground floor. The codes displayed in the Iron Man 2 posters (Iron Man - Morton Downey Jr. and Whiplash - Mickey Rourke) are perhaps some of the best examples of QR integration to date. Look for the artwork on posters, bills and postcards in select cities world-wide beginning April 17th, 2010.

About the Movie
Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster film based on the legendary Marvel Super Hero “Iron Man”, reuniting director Jon Favreau and Oscar nominee Robert Downey Jr. In “Iron Man 2”, the world is aware that billionaire inventor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is the armored Super Hero Iron Man. Under pressure from the government, the press and the public to share his technology with the military, Tony is unwilling to divulge the secrets behind the Iron Man armor because he fears the information will slip into the wrong hands. With Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James “Rhodey” Rhodes (Don Cheadle) at his side, Tony forges new alliances and confronts powerful new forces. >>> credits
